Campsite Overview
Overview & Plan of the Site
We have 11 tent pitches spaced out over our two fields, 7 in the Coed Field, and 4 in the Afon Field. Our new camper van pitch is located on the hardstanding area by the barn on the Coed field.
There are electric hook-ups for each pitch in the Coed field.
Each field has a large barn that are available for campers to use during their stay. Fires are allowed in the barns, however, we do ask that campers observe our fire safety rules.
Parking is available on the hard-standing areas in each field. Please do not drive on the grass.
We also have 5 resident chickens and 2 ducks on the campsite. They have their own run between the two fields. They are very friendly and particularly like to be fed your leftover grapes, rice, mashed potato and chicken food that can be purchased from reception. The eggs can also be purchased from reception either individually or in half dozen boxes.
Accommodation & Facilities
Afon Field
This field is a great field for larger tents and groups of tents. On one side of the outer wall there is the sound of the river, the other a small woodland area. This field has a Grade II listed Victorian Hay Barn which is perfect for sitting around the camp fire in the evening or sheltering from the occasional Welsh rain!
This field can be hired exclusively too. Please see the groups.php page for further details.
Coed Field
This field has a lovely aspect. Looking out over the Victorian barns and the mountain on one side, woodland and a Victorian walled garden on the other. Pitches are arranged around the edge of the field and each pitch has electric hook-up available should you require it.
There is also a large barn on this field too. It is ideal for cooking in or having a fire in one of our fire baskets. There is a second undercover area where the washing up sink is located.
Camper Van Pitch - Coed Field
We have a dedicated camper van pitch suitable for small camper vans. It is a hard-standing pitch and is located on the Coed field near the entrance to the walled garden. Electric hook-up is available to the pitch.
Please note that the pitch is not suitable for awnings or motor homes.
Facilities
We currently have 2 shower rooms and 2 toilets for the campsite. There is also an undercover washing up area. There are bins and recycling facilities on site. There is also a large walled garden which is perfect for playing ball games or walking the dog.
Reception
The Campsite Reception has a freezer available for campers to store freezer blocks.
There are various items for sale in the reception including bags of ice, marsh mellows for the fire, maps, citronella candles and so on. Fire baskets and logs can also be ordered from here.
